A variation a day, keeps insanity at bay.

Or so we hoped. On Bach’s birthday, one video ( = one variation) was published every day until the work was completed 32 days later, on May 1st 2020.

The aim was to feel a little more connected not only through the difficulties caused by the pandemic, but also through the solidarity of sharing some great music and creating something bigger together. 

‘Goldberg by 32 pianists’ not only celebrated some of the greatest (piano) music ever written, but did so by bringing together musicians of 22 nationalities recording from 13 countries! 🌎

Please enjoy and appreciate the videos with respect and understanding. Some of us were luckier than others, some of us just got their pianos tuned, some of us didn’t even have access to a real one. Some of us were fortunate to be recording from our living rooms, and some of us couldn’t get home.
