Project Fingertips in India

10577.01€ is the amount we were able to raise for the construction of a school dedicated to young, underprivileged girls in rural areas in Rajasthan, India.

We both thought that we were really lucky to have received such a strong education, and that we would like to give back to children who are less privileged. After some research  we discovered this initiative led by the organisation PADEM (Programmes d’Aide et de Développement destinés aux Enfants du Monde). Being half Indian and having seen the situation in Rajasthan, the project was something that Shaun especially felt strongly about.

So that’s how our second project came to life on 12th May 2014. This time we hired the beautiful ‘Salle Cité’ at the Fondation Pescatore, a second piano. We played some solo piano and two piano music by Milhaud, Medtner, Ravel, Schubert and Bennett. We also organised our own reception during the interval and even did our own ticketing service.

We would like to thank Mrs. Chan-Ho Sin Wan, Fondation LIN Hsueh-Hua, Association Culturelle Chinoise de Luxembourg a.s.b.l. and Restaurant Star of Asia for their immense support.
